The concert proposes pieces taken from the Irish tradition that go from more ancient ones to more recent ones. Among these we find pieces by the legendary Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) and by Sean O'Riada (1930-1971), whose composition 'Mna na Eirinn' was the sound track of the film 'Barry Lindon' by Stanley Kubrick.
The athmospheres that the concert offers are bound with suggestions coming from a great musical and literary tradition, the same that gave life to the ancient Irish lyric, and then to the great tradition of Celtic fairy tales born within a culture whose history oversteps into legend and has its highest moments in the rhymes of the great Irish poet W.B. Yeats.
